Madeline Cook is an associate in Hodgson Russ’ Labor & Employment Practice, where she advises and defends employers on a range of workplace compliance and employment litigation matters. She works closely with management and human resources teams to support effective, compliant workplace operations and to address issues as they arise.
Her practice focuses on representing employers in workplace disputes, including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation matters under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and various state anti-discrimination laws, as well as wage and hour and related employment claims. She represents clients before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the New York State Division of Human Rights, and in state and federal courts.
Madeline’s approach is shaped by her prior experience as in-house counsel, which provides her with a practical understanding of the operational realities employers face. She helps clients identify and address potential workplace risks before they result in claims and provides clear, business-minded guidance when disputes cannot be avoided. In those matters, she is known for offering steady, fact-driven counsel that allows employers to evaluate their options and address issues efficiently and thoughtfully.
