Jonathan Picker, Ph.D., is a patent agent in the Intellectual Property Practice. His technical experience spans chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, and life sciences, with a particular focus on biotech and agricultural technologies. He supports attorneys and clients in these sectors by assisting with patent application drafting and prosecution and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

His background combines scientific training with practical experience in both academic and legal settings. Having worked in a laboratory environment and within a university technology transfer office, Jonathan understands how innovations progress from research to commercialization. This perspective allows him to collaborate effectively with inventors and attorneys, translating complex technical concepts into clear, well-structured applications while identifying details that can strengthen patent protection.

Prior to joining Hodgson Russ, Jonathan spent more than three years with another law firm, where he handled patent drafting and patent prosecution as well as coordinating with foreign associates.
