Kylie Werk is an associate in the firm’s Business Litigation Practice, where she represents clients in complex commercial disputes in federal and state courts. Her practice includes commercial litigation, intellectual property disputes, First Amendment matters, tort claims, and professional liability issues. Drawing on a strong blend of government, regulatory, and private‑sector litigation experience, she also advises businesses on regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, licensing, and administrative enforcement, including matters involving the cannabis industry.
Before entering private practice, Kylie served as Senior Attorney and Acting Director of Cannabis at the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. In that role, she was the agency’s chief regulator for the Florida Hemp Program and medical marijuana edibles, directing legal and regulatory matters, supervising multiple teams, and authoring legislation and administrative rules. Her government background also includes serving as the Department’s Agricultural Rulemaking Coordinator, ethics attorney, and public records attorney, enabling her to provide clients with a valuable perspective on administrative law, compliance, and regulatory enforcement.
